Ausiàs Tsel is a Valencian writer working in English and Catalan/Valencian. His fiction operates under the label Mediterranean Gothic: horror under hard light, corroded theology, domestic violence as silence, and the architecture of concealment in Mediterranean societies.
His work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Rumpus, Pithead Chapel, Chthonic Matter Quarterly, Neon & Smoke, Flash Fiction Magazine, and Dark Horses (Hobb's End Press).
He is the creator of Zenòdot, the largest actively maintained open catalogue of book translations in the world — an independent canonical database of its own, built by correlating more than 50 bibliographic sources. It has been covered by Jane Friedman, Nació Digital and Publishers Lunch, among others — the full list is on the press page.
